It is considered one of the most famous caves and grottos in Lebanon, and it is the creation of the Lord of the Worlds, It is one of the rarest natural formations and one of the most important tourist attractions in Lebanon, It reached the finals of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World competition, It was discovered by chance in 1836 and was opened in 1958, It contains an underground river and is characterized by cavities, narrow reefs, structures, and halls that are unmatched. Water from the highlands of Lebanon seeped into it, forming the longest crystal formations in the world, which reach a length of 108 meters, It also contains the highest crystal column rising from the ground toward the ceiling, reaching a height of 26 meters. The cave is located 20 kilometers north of the capital, Beirut.

The cave is divided into two layers:
The Upper Dry Cave was discovered in 1958 and stretches over 2,130 meters in length. Visitors can access up to 750 meters of it through specially designed passageways, The cave contains a variety of crystal formations, including stalactites, stalagmites, limestone deposits, and pools, It is also known for its high-quality and impressive lighting systems, To enter, visitors pass through a long concrete tunnel, and the cave features three main chambers.

As for the Lower Cave, it can only be visited by boat. It stretches 6,200 meters in length and is located 60 meters lower than the Upper Cave, It is considered a vast area filled with beautifully shaped and rare sediment deposits.

Activities you can do in the Jeita Grotto:
